Silicon Nitride (Si3N4) bonded silicon carbide (SiC) material is a new type of advanced refractory materials. Compared with silicon carbide product, the product has characteristics of small thermal expansion, high thermal conductivity, not easy to have thermal stress, good thermal shock resistance, corrosion resistance, extreme cold or heat, oxidation, high temperature creep resistant ability and easily made into products with high dimensional accuracy requirements in line.

1.Product description:   

Silicon Nitride (Si3N4) bonded silicon carbide (SiC) material is a new type of advanced refractory materials. Compared with silicon carbide product, the product has characteristics of small thermal expansion, high thermal conductivity, not easy to have thermal stress, good thermal shock resistance, corrosion resistance, extreme cold or heat, oxidation, high temperature creep resistant ability and easily made into products with high dimensional accuracy requirements in line. Silicon nitride combined silicon carbide products have very high strength for normal atmospheric temperature, and it remains almost the same time with the strength and hardness at high temperature 1200-1400C. with the difference of using atmosphere, the maximum safe operating temperature could reach 1500C

  1. Appliactions of NBSiC tubes:  

Silicon nitride (Si3N4) bonded silicon carbide (SiC) Product is mainly used in the production of aluminum, copper and  zinc , as the lining material of the molten pool and electrolytic bath (reduction bath).The side lining of the reduction bath is eroding by aluminum and cryolite (used as additive), but Si3N4 bonded SiC material could not be eroded by aluminum, and do not have chemical reaction with cryolite.So this kind of material is ideal for the lining bricks of the electrolytic bath.In particular this kind of bricks have the excellent properties of high strength, abrasive resistance and nonconductive, so the copolymer (Al2O3 and Cryolite). The copolymer likes protective film to protect the working lining and improve the service life of electrolytic bath.
